Yeah, I'm back again. I had an idea for a challenge: The participants would each write a story which would follow certain themes, and the winner would...probably get to request a short story from me. Hahaha. If anyone has a better idea for a prize, do tell. If you want to enter, you can post the entry in your gallery and link to it in the comments for this entry. Now, what will you be writing?

Genre: Detective/Kaitou
Themes: Drama, Mystery, Psychological.*
Characters to Use: (L, Light Yagami)**, (Loki, Yamino, Frey)***, (Yako, Neuro)****, (Lupin)*****, (Maron/Jeanne)******, (Dark/Daisuke)*******, (The Man of Twenty Faces)********. Feel free to add any other characters you wish. Self inserts are permitted, however Marty Stus and Mary Sues are not and are grounds for immediate disqualification.
Setting: Modern Day, Now.
Where: City That Looks Suspiciously Like Tokyo But Has Enough People That Whatever The Criminals Do It Won't Matter Much (ATLSLTBHPTWTCDIWMM for short.) (What, you want something shorter? Fine. Tokyo.)
Up until this point: A crime wave has hit Tokyo, and it is too much for any one genius to solve and stop. Therefore, a secret summit of genius detectives has been called, and they will attempt to catch and bring to justice every last criminal there. Unbeknownst to them, however, is that some of the detectives called have more...personal agendas.
And on the other side of the aisle, the criminal underworld is at war with itself. Suspicion of the identity of Kira abounds, and hate for the Phantom Thieves Jeanne, Dark, and the Man of Twenty Faces, the good side of crime, abounds. However, everyone knows one thing: with the recent burgeoning of their trades will come persecution from the law. They do not know whence it will come, but they know it will come.
Everyone begins their plots, their gambits, and their plans. Whose will wither before their time, and whose will bear fruit? That is up to you.

* What do these mean?
Drama: Well, what do you think it means? Try to make as much drama as possible.
Mystery: Well, it's a detective/phantom thief story. Of course there's mystery.
Psychological: Explore the human psyche as much as you can. Alternatively, have the reader do some of the brainwork as well, trying to solve whatever mystery you pose before the detectives do.
